Kjersti provides strategic advises to Acapo’s clients within establishment, management and enforcement of intellectual property rights.
Within this field she provides advice in matters related to copyright, trademark and design protection. This means that she among others assists our clients in drafting contracts, with trademark clearance searches, filing of trademark and design applications, and in litigation related to intellectual property rights. As example of disputes we may mention counterfeit matters and trademark infringements.
Further to the foregoing Kjersti assists larger clients in portfolio management and development of IP strategies.
Prior to joining Acapo, she worked as a lawyer in a large Norwegian law firm where she handled assignments within intellectual property rights, such as preparation of IP strategies, infringements of trademarks, copyrights, patents and company names. Further, she has many years of experience as an legal advisor/examiner at the Norwegian Industrial Property Office.
Kjersti has a Master’s degree in law from the University of Oslo, Norway (1999) with specialization in copyright, industrial and information/communication law.
Kjersti is a member of the Norwegian Bar Association, The Norwegian Patent association, LES Scandinavia and AIPPI.
Kjersti joined Acapo in 2009 and works from our office in Trondheim.
